I am writing to seek assistance with a technical issue I encountered while setting up my surveillance system.
I currently manage a system with 32 cameras and decided to use RapidVMS Community after reading that it is highly rated for this scale. I downloaded the software via the link provided on your website (SourceForge: https://sourceforge.net/projects/vscloud/files/).
However, I am unable to add my cameras. When I attempt to add a new device, it does not appear in the list. Upon checking the system logs, I found an error message stating that the camera could not be added due to licensing requirements.
This is confusing because your website explicitly states:
“RapidVMS is a community version of VMS software, with unlimited channels and no need for license.”
Could you please clarify why the software is requesting a license and provide instructions on how I can successfully add my 32 cameras? If there is a specific configuration step or a community activation key I missed, please let me know.
Thanks for you using Rapidvms Community. Rapidvms Community doesn’t need license to running. so you can add camera directly, could share the camera adding page snopshot?

I am currently running RapidVMS, but the software is unable to connect to the system. I have configured VED to use the default ports, but RapidVMS appears to be listening on different ports based on the logs.
Specifically, while I expect the default ports, the system logs show RapidVMS is attempting to communicate via port 30613 (HTTP) and 30614 (HTTPS):

Just start rapidvms.exe , RapidVMS Community does’t support network connection, it’s a standalone VMS, no web interface, if you want to use web interface, you should try H5S or USC, H5S and USC need license.
